The late Mr Tan Lang Chew (Mr Jeffrey Tan’s father) ventured out into Beef Noodles business in the 1980s. In 1992, when the Mad Cow Diseases struck, he knew he had to to diversify his food offerings. Using his expertise brewing beef broth, he created a different soup base and began to offer Yong Tau Foo, a traditional and healthy stuffed-tofu-and-noodle soup that is a favorite among Singaporeans. Mr Jeffrey Tan took over his father’s business and continued building the legacy business.
